What to do with ’em! \nSpring is in the air and swarms are springing out of hives.  Our topic this month is how to catch a swarm.  We will be hearing from several people on the topic.  Dave will be bringing a bee vac and showing us how it is used.  And other folks will chime in with  their tips of the trade.  Come with your love of bees and curious minds for good info with good people.

DESCRIPTION:Ryan Willingham\, a State of Florida inspector\, will be teaching us about making splits.  There are many tips and tricks to this skill\, so come and learn about it.  Splits can reduce the chance of swarming and they can allow you to expand your bee yard without having to buy more worker bees.  This is great timing for the topic since the upcoming season is right around the corner.

At the groups you will be able to ask questions about your own hives or just those thing about bees that tickle your curiosity. Pictures of something in your hive that mystifies you are welcome. Wandering between groups (quietly) is A-ok. \nGAB AGENDA April 2015 // GAB MINUTES April 2015 \nNOTE: WE WILL BE MEETING IN ROOM 2218 TO ACCOMMODATE BREAKING INTO GROUPS. SIGNS WILL BE POSTED.
