Don’t miss the Lubee Bat Festival!

Bees are not the only important pollinators; bats also do their part!  Come learn about bats at the Lubee Bat Festival on Saturday, 10/25/14 from 10:00am until 4:00pm. The Gainesville Area Bee Club will be on hand to educate people about honey bees too, of course, and many other local, environmental groups will also be represented. If you haven’t seen our observation hive, come be hypnotized by the bees!

The Lubee Bat Conservancy is only open to the public this one day each year, so don’t miss this opportunity to see their beautiful fruit bats with wingspans as large as 6′.  There are lots of family-friendly activities to enjoy. The Lubee Bat Conservancy is at 1309 NW 192nd Ave., Gainesville, FL.  Admission is free, although a donation is encouraged.  http://lubee.org/events/annual-bat-festival/#

We hope to see you there!
