Nucs delivered to club members!
It was a lovely spring day when our nuc order arrived from Dadant’s. About ten club members eagerly waited at the entomology building for the trailer of nucs to arrive, and the transition of bees from nucs to hives went pretty smoothly. Good luck to our new beekeepers!

Transferring bees
Jenny Galivanez-Slone and her father generously picked up the nucs and delivered them safely to the entomology building.

Apiary Inspector, Gary Van Cleef, was there to register new beekeepers.
In about 10 days, beekeepers will check the bees to make sure the queen is there and laying eggs for a healthy, active colony.
